Thanks A Bunch

I hope to upload a few cards that have been made over the last 12 months or so and provide lists of supplies you may find helpful in your own card projects.

The first of these is a thank you card made from Kraft Cardstock, I recycled the kraft
card from packing on supplies from my employer. Yes, I have a day job so I do find it difficult to keep up with my posts.

Thanks A Bunch

The lettering on the base is stamped with Versamark and clear embossed.

The vase was die cut using
Elizabeth craft designs Asian Vase No.741 die.
This is 2 piece die set.

The flowers look really dimensional and effective.
I used Papertrey Ink Bloom Builders PTD-0164 - 5 sizes of petals set.

The leaves are cut from Cheery Lyn  Designs die B117 - Fanciful Flourish. I believe the cardstock is a Basic Grey Design, I had in my stash.

The 'thanks A BUNCH' stamp and 'Mini Classy Labels' die are both from VERVE.
The stamp is from a set called 'Joyful Blooms' VS-0168 Set of 13.
The label is a 2 piece set - VSDC-037.

I have use Walnut Distress Ink to tone the card and label edges.

I hope this card gives you inspiration to make these beautiful blooms for a project or two. Enjoy!

Love Script Heart Shaped Stamp(Love Collection 2009).
A Hero Arts Stamp K5326 Heart Lace was used on the Ivory Cardstock using a Versamark Watermark Stamp Pad and The Creative Stamp Collection Embossing Powder "Lavender" and then cut out by hand.

This was my mother's birthday card for May 2012 and each year it falls in line with mothers day.
The paper was taken from Prima A4 Paper Stack -       Nature Garden
Labels were cut from brown cardstock using MFT Dienamics Vintage Cameo Frame and pink cardstock using label die from Quickutz Wildflower set.
So here is the card I made her for Mothers' Day.
Both were Made using Kraft cardstock. The large flowers are from Manor House Creations and the tiny pink rosebuds & bling are Kaisercraft.
The patterned cardstock is
Echo Park - This & That Graceful - Flower Vine which is doublesided and I have used each side.
Both sections of the label are Stampin Up punches. Underneath the flowers is a brown cardstock doiley punched from Memory Box Marietta Buckle # 98220.

As with most of my projects  I use Walnut Stain distress ink sponged on the edges.
This is a very beautiful card for an 80th Birthday, I made this for a friend after the brief stated pink and whatever I choose.
I have used Christina Rea brown card stock for the base of card 8.5 x 8.25 inches folded in half on the 8.25 side. Then cut a piece of Stampin Up Very Vanilla 3.75 x 8.25 inches and added the sentiment to the exact centre. Again even with the bulkiness of the flowers it will fit into a DL envelope snuggly.
I have then used 2 pieces of pink cardstock at 3.875 x 2.5 inches and run through my Cuttlebug using the cut & emboss folder from Cuttlebug # 2000255 Chic Circle Frame.
Then Distress Ink with Walnut Stain the edges of pink & vanilla and over the front of pink cut outs very gently. The card has been assembled using the Memory Box Style No 808 Small Tilda Swirl cut from brown cardstock in a darker shade than the base underneath the burgandy flowers. The 80 numbers were cut using Sizzix Shadow Box.
This picture does the card an injustice and in reality everybody really admired it.
The Wishing you a Wonderful Birthday is from Stamp-it Australia called Wishing Birthday #4643D it is a beautiful stamp which I use on many of my cards. Enjoy!

Birthday Card No.4

For this card I have used Stampin Up Textured Cardstock in Rose Red cut to 8" Wide x 8.25 " Long then scored in half at 4" on the Wide Side. This card will then fit into a standard DL envelope.
Cut a piece of American Crafts Dear Lizzys Spring Lazy Ladybug cardstock to measure 8" by 3.75"  and ink edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Antique Linen, then adhere to top of card.
Cut a piece of Stampin Up Cardstock in Rose Red to measure 4.125" by 5.25" from this cut out the Stampin Up - Sizzix 'Top Note' die. Then back the space left with white cardstock trimming to match all the edges, cut the completed rectangle in half exactly down the centre and adhere one piece to card top over patterned cardstock centering on the right hand side as shown in the following picture.

I have used Stampin Up Rose Red Ink and embossed with Ranger Clear Embossing Powder on the Happy Birthday Stamp  from Verve Stamps - Plain Jane # VS-10-PJ034.
Finally I have added 4 x 5mm Hot Pink Pearls and from the patterned cardstock scrap I have chosen a nicely shaped flower to cut out, ink as above and mount using foam dots to top left of top note die cut shaping.
I am sure this would also be very effective in another colour if you are not a pink fan.
Enjoy!

Friendship Card

Cut a piece of brown textured cardstock to 8 1/2" to 5 3/4", I have used Stampin Up Chocolate Chip. Score in half on long side.
Cut a piece of pink textured cardstock 5 1/2" x 4" (Stampin Up, Blushing Bride in sample) It is embossed with the Stampin Up Framed Tulips Folder and then trimmed it to suit and inked edges with Distress Ink in Walnut Stain then adhered to the front of the brown cardstock. My fold is at the top of the card.
I have cut 2 x vases from the Quickutz 2" x 2" die number 0959. Using foam 3D dots adhere together and then adhere in place on pink cardstock. From the Stampin Up set 'A Slice of Life' ink only the flowers in the vase stamp with Stampin Up Chocolate Chip Ink and stamp onto pink cardstock above vase allowing room for the sentiment area.  In the samples you can choose either side of card to place the vase of flowers according to the size of sentiment.
The above 'Flowers are Love's Truest Language" is from the Basic Grey 'Tranquil' Clear Stamps set.
For the Happy Birthday below I have used Brilliance Pearlescent Chocolate Ink and clear embossed the Happy Birthday stamp from Stampin Up 'Happy Moments' set. Using the Modern Label and Word Window punches from Stampin Up to mount it.

Then punch out 10 daisies using the Papers Shapers small daisy punch, from glitter paper in a matching shade then adhere a small pearl to centre of five. Then using foam 3D dots adhere 2 of daisies together in centre, then adhere to 5 random flowers above vase.

Finally trim with 7mm Champagne Organza Ribbon Bow and you have a simple but attractive card than can be used for many occasions.

Christmas Card 2011

This year I have made a traditional card. Using Stampin Up Very Vanilla Cardstock cut to 8.25" x 8" then scored & folded on the short side. From the Stampin Up Set 'Season Of Joy' I have used the word stamp with Crumb Cake Classic Stampin Pad on very vanilla cardstock and cut to 3" x 3" and 3D mounted on 3.125" x 3.125" red cardstock.
From the Stampin Up Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper cut a piece 4.5" x 3.875" in the stripe this is then trimmed on the bottom with a strip punched from EK Success Border Punch 'Dotted Scallop'. The baubles are cut from red cardstock using the die included in the Quickutz 2008 Holiday Limited Edition Gift Set then topped with the centre cut from very vanilla using Sizzix Ornament #2 die and topped with a red rhinestone also 3D mounted. The tie on baubles is Sullivans Metallic Cord  8 ply red purchased from Lincraft.
The final touch was Merry Christmas ribbon purchased from the Imagination Factory
Please note all pieces except ribbon are inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Walnut Stain.

Happy Birthday - 3

This card background is made from Stampin Up Very Vanilla Smooth A4 cut to 7" on short side and scored in half on long side. The overlay is cut at 5" wide x 5.5" high and taken from a K & Co Classic K Bailey 2 Sided Paper Pad - second design in the pad. I have cut this piece from the top left hand corner - so you will need to rotate the paper if you wish to have the same print visable.
To cut the four layers of the flower I used Stampin Up - Sizzix Bigz Flower Folds Die. The top 3 layers are cut from the remainder of overlay paper - the bottom is cut from Stampin Up Cardstock Blue Bayou which is no longer available as it was part of the In Color range 2008-2009. The bottom layer only was then embossed with the Cuttlebug folder Kassie's Brocade. When assembling the flower use the reverse side of paper for the second layer from the top. I used a button for centre removing the shank and glueing into place.
The the Happy Birthday sentiment was used from StampinUp's 'Party This Way' collection and the Flourish from the 'Priceless"' collection. Both were stamped with Blue Bayou Classic Stampin Pad and then embossed with Ranger 'Clear' Powder.
To complete the 6.4mm Very Vanilla  grosgrain ribbon has been tied and adheared underneath the overlay1" in.I have also attached the same card made in pink to show that the card will look as stunning in a variety of colours. Enjoy!

Birthday Card - 2

This card is made from pink Bazzil cardstock first cut a piece 8.5" wide x 6" long then score at 4.25" on wide side,  size will then be 4.25" wide x 6 " long,  being a 'Z' fold you need to then fold the front of the card in half back onto itself and score in the middle. The back is lined on the inside with MME (My Mind's Eye) Stella & Rose 'Hazel' Special 1/8" less all round than the back of card.
On the front of the 'Z' fold I have used the text page from Lost & Found 'BLUSH' 6" x 6" pad, this is my most favourite pad at the moment.  Every page in this pad is really delightful.
All my edges are inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Walnut Stain, just lightly,  including the flower which is also a Tim Holtz Alterations Sizzix die - Tattered Florals finished with a generic rhinestone pink & silver brad.
I have used Brilliance Pearlescent Chocolate Ink and embossed with Ranger Clear Embossing Powder on the Happy Birthday Stamp  from Verve Stamps - Plain Jane # VS-10-PJ034
For the sentiment backing and layering I have used the two largest ovals in the Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Ovals Large S4-110
To complete I have punched the top pink stamped label only, with the Stampin Up Horizontal Slot Punch ( which unfortunately is no longer available) and threaded 10mm deep Brown Organza Ribbon through to tie in a bow.

Happy Birthday Card

This card is made from Stampin Up Very Vanilla Smooth Cardstock cut to 8" Wide x 8.25 " Long  then scored in half at 4" on the Wide Side. This card will then fit into a standard DL envelope. I have used Color Box Black Ink and embossed with Ranger Clear Embossing Powder on the Happy Birthday Stamp  from Verve Stamps - Plain Jane # VS-10-PJ034.
The black flowers are cut from a Cheery Lynn 2" x 3" Ribbon Die A163.
The Cardstock Top Blocks are Backed with black and the top sections are from a pad of First Edition Paper called Desert Blooms I purchased at Lincraft. From this paper I have used 2 different glitter pages that work well together.  I am very big on inking the edges of my cards however this card did not lend itself to this technique well and after the first trial I believe it was a better finish without.
Quite a simple but elegant card when completed, with the large generic pearls.
