A perfect colour combination

 of Cream, Brown and Blue

 ideal for a male card.

Again I have used the Martha Stewart deep edge punch - Embroidery under the birdies that are 3D mounted.

Birthday Cards

I have several cards to upload that I have sent to my friends recently.

This card was sent to my Angels friend Jan in Tassie.
The floral cardstock is called 'Posh' from the Kaisercraft Magnolia Grove Range then the reverse side is used for the bottom mount on sentiment.
Base cardstock, middle mount and floral lace cardstock trim are Perfect Plum - Stampin Up cardstock.
Framelits Labels Collection # 125598 from Stampin Up was used to cut the label mount layers.
The floral lace cardstock was punched with a Martha Stewart deep edge punch called 'Embroidery'
The paper flowers are listed as Rosebuds in Lavender available from my new webstore.
Enjoy!

This was my mother's birthday card for May 2012 and each year it falls in line with mothers day.
The paper was taken from Prima A4 Paper Stack -       Nature Garden
Labels were cut from brown cardstock using MFT Dienamics Vintage Cameo Frame and pink cardstock using label die from Quickutz Wildflower set.
So here is the card I made her for Mothers' Day.
Both were Made using Kraft cardstock. The large flowers are from Manor House Creations and the tiny pink rosebuds & bling are Kaisercraft.
The patterned cardstock is
Echo Park - This & That Graceful - Flower Vine which is doublesided and I have used each side.
Both sections of the label are Stampin Up punches. Underneath the flowers is a brown cardstock doiley punched from Memory Box Marietta Buckle # 98220.

As with most of my projects  I use Walnut Stain distress ink sponged on the edges.
This is a very beautiful card for an 80th Birthday, I made this for a friend after the brief stated pink and whatever I choose.
I have used Christina Rea brown card stock for the base of card 8.5 x 8.25 inches folded in half on the 8.25 side. Then cut a piece of Stampin Up Very Vanilla 3.75 x 8.25 inches and added the sentiment to the exact centre. Again even with the bulkiness of the flowers it will fit into a DL envelope snuggly.
I have then used 2 pieces of pink cardstock at 3.875 x 2.5 inches and run through my Cuttlebug using the cut & emboss folder from Cuttlebug # 2000255 Chic Circle Frame.
Then Distress Ink with Walnut Stain the edges of pink & vanilla and over the front of pink cut outs very gently. The card has been assembled using the Memory Box Style No 808 Small Tilda Swirl cut from brown cardstock in a darker shade than the base underneath the burgandy flowers. The 80 numbers were cut using Sizzix Shadow Box.
This picture does the card an injustice and in reality everybody really admired it.
The Wishing you a Wonderful Birthday is from Stamp-it Australia called Wishing Birthday #4643D it is a beautiful stamp which I use on many of my cards. Enjoy!
Almost 3 months since my last post, thank you Mr Google.
So today I hope to catch up a little.

Angel's ATC's Group

For my friend Katie who asks me what I make.  I have decided to post some of the ATC's with their topic.

                                               September 2011

Topic - Mythical / Fantasy : Elves, Fairies or Wizards.

October 2011

Topic - 3 Elements  - Stamped image/picture of a child's toy, verse relating to the toy used, incorporate a bright green circle.

Topic - Transport

                                              November 2011
Topic - 3 Primary Colours -Red      Blue        Yellow  matching shades on a colour wheel. As I was low on imagination this was the easy way out.

Topic - Bears any type! Although it is not really clear the flowers are 3d which adds interest.

December 2011
Topic - Christmas -Although the brief read Southern Hemisphere type Christmas only, no snow  - plenty of sun. At Christmas time there is always a lack of time and this was the best I could fit into my busy schedule.

That was all the fortnightly swaps I did, having only joined Angel's ATC's group at the end of August 2011.

Hope some of these inspire your imagination.
Enjoy!

Birthday Card No.4

For this card I have used Stampin Up Textured Cardstock in Rose Red cut to 8" Wide x 8.25 " Long then scored in half at 4" on the Wide Side. This card will then fit into a standard DL envelope.
Cut a piece of American Crafts Dear Lizzys Spring Lazy Ladybug cardstock to measure 8" by 3.75"  and ink edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Antique Linen, then adhere to top of card.
Cut a piece of Stampin Up Cardstock in Rose Red to measure 4.125" by 5.25" from this cut out the Stampin Up - Sizzix 'Top Note' die. Then back the space left with white cardstock trimming to match all the edges, cut the completed rectangle in half exactly down the centre and adhere one piece to card top over patterned cardstock centering on the right hand side as shown in the following picture.

I have used Stampin Up Rose Red Ink and embossed with Ranger Clear Embossing Powder on the Happy Birthday Stamp  from Verve Stamps - Plain Jane # VS-10-PJ034.
Finally I have added 4 x 5mm Hot Pink Pearls and from the patterned cardstock scrap I have chosen a nicely shaped flower to cut out, ink as above and mount using foam dots to top left of top note die cut shaping.
I am sure this would also be very effective in another colour if you are not a pink fan.
Enjoy!

Off The Page 60th Album

Hi everybody, thought I would share the album pics and details, that I gave my sister-in-law for her 60th birthday yesterday.
I was happy with the way it has turned out, I used a Kaisercraft 60th Album, sanded the album around the edges, I like them very smooth and rounded, then gave the edges a coat of black acrylic paint.

The pages were covered with a beautiful range of paper from the My Memories range sheets # 150105 & #150108 purchased from Riot Art & Craft also black bazzill cardstock. After the pages were covered I painted them with 2 coats for each page of Plaid Royal Coat Decoupage Finish. I always allow at least 12 hours between coats to cure a little before I re-coat.

Then I have added the triple photo matts in white, glitter grey & black bazzill and trimmed with an assortment of flowers also from Riot Art & Craft 'Forever In Time' collection of Chipboard Gem Blossoms and some I made using the Sizzix Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die, also a Cheery Lynn die called Fanciful Flourish #B117 which I cut in the grey glitter cardstock.
I used Stampin Up Sizzix dies Big Beautiful Butterfly & Beautiful Wings Embosslits to cut the butterfly on the front cover. The letters and numbers were from Thickers Dear Lizzy & American Crafts Glitter Letter White Stickers Item # 53032.

An assortment of ribbons obtained from the Imagination Factory and I Do also a Kaisercraft wooden flourish painted in Jo Sonjas Series 2 Pearl White and a little bling pearls and a Prima black flourish and a Rub On sentiment from the Sullivans Heritage set # 50411 purchased from Lincraft to finish.

I hope this gives everybody inspiration to have a go at completing one of these beautiful albums that come in an assortment of styles. Once decorated it becomes extremely hard to part with them.
Enjoy, thanks for stopping by.

Friendship Card

Cut a piece of brown textured cardstock to 8 1/2" to 5 3/4", I have used Stampin Up Chocolate Chip. Score in half on long side.
Cut a piece of pink textured cardstock 5 1/2" x 4" (Stampin Up, Blushing Bride in sample) It is embossed with the Stampin Up Framed Tulips Folder and then trimmed it to suit and inked edges with Distress Ink in Walnut Stain then adhered to the front of the brown cardstock. My fold is at the top of the card.
I have cut 2 x vases from the Quickutz 2" x 2" die number 0959. Using foam 3D dots adhere together and then adhere in place on pink cardstock. From the Stampin Up set 'A Slice of Life' ink only the flowers in the vase stamp with Stampin Up Chocolate Chip Ink and stamp onto pink cardstock above vase allowing room for the sentiment area.  In the samples you can choose either side of card to place the vase of flowers according to the size of sentiment.
The above 'Flowers are Love's Truest Language" is from the Basic Grey 'Tranquil' Clear Stamps set.
For the Happy Birthday below I have used Brilliance Pearlescent Chocolate Ink and clear embossed the Happy Birthday stamp from Stampin Up 'Happy Moments' set. Using the Modern Label and Word Window punches from Stampin Up to mount it.

Then punch out 10 daisies using the Papers Shapers small daisy punch, from glitter paper in a matching shade then adhere a small pearl to centre of five. Then using foam 3D dots adhere 2 of daisies together in centre, then adhere to 5 random flowers above vase.

Finally trim with 7mm Champagne Organza Ribbon Bow and you have a simple but attractive card than can be used for many occasions.
